Church Membership

When you are ready to commit to being a part of the life, ministry and impact of the PRAISE COMMUNITY CHURCH family, your next step is MEMBERSHIP.

While you won’t read about formal church MEMBERSHIP in the New Testament, we believe that it holds so much value for the local church and in the life of the believer.

• In a culture that is notoriously low-commitment, MEMBERSHIP makes a bold statement that you are committed to the local church.

• MEMBERSHIP sets the standard in your home and with your family that active participation and engagement with the wider church family is vitally important to your spiritual development and to our collective ability to impact the world for Christ.

• MEMBERSHIP facilitates mutual accountability among the believers in the church. You agree to make yourself accountable to the Body while you also agree to hold others accountable – all in truth and grace.

• Becoming a MEMBER gives you a voice in the decisions that the local church makes. You get to be a part of the discussion and prayerfully consider different aspects of the life of the church.

• Maintaining a healthy MEMBERSHIP allows us to operate with integrity and full compliance as a registered church of the Church of God denomination.

• We can do far more when we are working together and committed to a common vision and mission than we could ever do alone. While you won’t read about formal church MEMBERSHIP in the New Testament, we believe that it holds so much value for the local church and in the life of the believer.

OUR MEMBERSHIP PROCESS

Here are the steps to becoming a member at PRAISE COMMUNITY:

• Acknowledge Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of your life.

• Be baptized in water (or be open to being baptized).

• Regularly attend church services and be involved in the life of the church through serving and giving.

• Live in harmony with the PRAISE COMMUNITY family.

• Read and agree to abide by PRAISE COMMUNITY’s vision, mission, core values and lifestyle & morality Standards (listed below).

• Prayerfully and openly support the pastors and leaders.

• Live a Christ-like lifestyle every day as a representative of His Kingdom and of the PRAISE COMMUNITY family.

• Complete and submit a MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION (available below).

• Be open to meeting with a staff member to discuss your application.

• Once your application is reviewed and it is approved, you will be a recognized MEMBER of the PRAISE COMMUNITY family.

• You will be introduced to the congregation with other new MEMBERS, so the rest of the congregation can welcome you into the church family.
